To mark the 2008 »Spectrum« Prize, the Sprengel Museum Hannover will be showing for the first time in Europe the most comprehensive exhibition to date of Helen Levitt's (*1913) great American Phototgraphs.
Winners of the Stiftung Niedersachsen's «Spectrum» International Prize for Photography include:
Robert Adams (1995), Thomas Struth
(1997), John Baldessari (1999), Sophie Calle (2002) and Martha Rosler
(2005).
The 2008 jury comprised: Dr Ludger Derenthal / Berlin, Emma Dexter / London, Dr. Hripsimé Visser / Amsterdam, Dr. Dominik von König und Inka Schube / Hannover.
